about

Artist statement:
"This is my first full album. The songs are mostly piano with electronic instruments like the DFAM from Moog and the MatrixBrute from Arturia and some field recordings.
Most songs are constantly evolving and don't follow a typical song structure. I see music as an extension to my art. I understand my drawings and paintings as still images of a scene or a situation. What mood and what story they might tell is up to the viewer but of course I have my own ideas about it and then I wonder what music describes that scene best for me.
It does not necessarily have to be linked to my art though. The song "Lost on the Runway", for example, describes the feeling that I have when traveling by plane. The plane rolls around on the runway and it is very monotonic. There is a short time of excitement when the throttle sets finally in but then it is all monotonic again and that is when the song fades out."
